The largest Vikinglotto jackpot was €44 million, split between two winning tickets in 2016. In 2017, a jackpot cap of €35 million was introduced, so winning more than this record amount is unlikely. Once the jackpot reaches this cap, any additional money received from ticket sales is rolled over to the lower prize tier, which is also capped at €25 million.

Both players matched the six main Vikinglotto numbers and the international lucky number, winning €22 million each. The Norwegian ticket, which belonged to a joint pot of ten players, also matched the Norwegian lucky number, resulting in an additional win of 100 million kroner (€10 million). In 2017, the lucky number was replaced by the Viking number.
